Board Member Comings and Goings
GOODBYES
Three Rivers has enjoyed wonderful service on the Board from Jennifer Thompson and Delores Orfanakis. Their contributions have been substantial.
Among other things Delores has given much attention to recruiting new Board members and look at the great results. She has been a wonderful champion of the trails program. Her six years of board and committee participation has blessed Three Rivers greatly.
Jennifer has strong experience from her role at US Fish and Wildlife. Her expert advice has been invaluable to the staff and board. Now as she turns attention to her newborn baby, she must trim back her volunteer activity. Jennifer will certainly be missed.
HELLOS
Renee Spears and David Hepler have just joined the Board. These are people that jump in with both feet to get things done.
Renee Spears is an owner of Rose City Mortgage. Look at http://rosecitymtg.com/renee/ to understand her outstanding experience. She is already making a strong contribution to the Fundraising Committee which you will hear about at the next board meeting.
David Hepler is an attorney and owner of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt. Look at http://schwabe.com/showattorney.aspx?Name=David-Hepler&Show=9267 to see his professional background. He has been a strong contributor to the Wine and Land event. With his leadership, Schwabe became a W&L sponsor and he recruited other sponsors.
GLAD YOU ARE STAYING
Jay Minor initiated the By-Laws change that enables past Presidents to remain on the Board. That demonstrates long term commitment. Look at http://www.agc-oregon.org/public/events/sir_minor.shtml and you will learn things about Jay and his professional experience that you could only guess at by watching him lead Board meetings the past six years.
